Not that we’ve had a chance to take E. yet, but I read about this in the Brooklyn Papers last July. The New York Puppet Library is in the Soldier’s and Sailor’s Memorial Arch at Grand Army Plaza. It’s a bit daunting to cross over to the arch with the busy traffic circle around it, but on Saturday afternoons, The Puppet Library has various puppet shows for all ages and they run from May through October. From noon to 4pm, the library also opens its collection of large and small puppets to the public. The collection includes antique marionettes and newer puppets. It’s only a $5 suggested donation for the library and $10 donation for the shows. The number for more information is (718) 853-7350.
Hopefully we’ll go next summer…
